It adds such a strong, energetic vibe that really pushes you to stay focused and productive during your workout. The atmosphere is clean, organized, and positive. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into creating a great space for members. Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a supportive environment with amazing staff and a motivating setup!

Negative experience: I’ve been a member of Gym Nation Motor City for several months, and unfortunately, I am completely disappointed. I have tried for months to communicate, request fixes, and send multiple complaint emails, but nothing has been resolved. This review is my last attempt to get their attention. 1. Broken Equipment – More than 80% of the bicycles in the RPM class are broken. Every class, we waste time switching bikes, which ruins the workout experience. Even their own coaches are frustrated and complain about the issue, yet nothing is being done to fix them. 2. Misleading “Free Session” from Enhance Team – Gym Nation claims they offer a free session where they will tour the gym with you, teach you how to use the machines, and give you a basic workout plan. However, in reality, they only analyze you, say they “know what’s good for you,” and then refuse to provide any details unless you pay for a package. This is not a free session—it’s just a sales tactic for a third-party business. I even sent multiple emails with screenshots of Gym Nation’s own promises, but I received no useful response. They continue misleading members with this false offer every day. 3. Terrible Parking Situation – Finding a free parking spot is like winning the lottery. I have to wait 10 to 30 minutes every time. The paid parking isn’t RTA; it’s UP parking, which charges extremely high rates. After months of complaints and no action, it’s clear that Gym Nation Motor City does not care about its members’ concerns. Poor service, unresponsive management, and misleading advertising—definitely not recommended. ————————————- *Update 1st June 2025* RPM Equipment: Same poor conditions, maybe even worse. Parking Update: Good news — they’ve secured a contract with UP Parking on the other side of the street (about a 5-minute walk). You can now park there and register your plate number to use the parking for free during your workout. Note: This is not a covered parking area. During summer, be careful not to leave sprays or any items that could explode or catch fire when exposed to heat inside your car.

Negative experience: I went to Gymnation for nearly a year and canceled my membership since I moved locations. I have had more than one issue of Gymnation charging my card with odd amounts for unknown reasons. I have just been charged another month’s subscription when my membership has supposedly been canceled for MONTHS now after I visited and watched it be canceled in front of me. At this point it is daylight robbery as my account details should have removed a long time ago. This is unbelievable, especially because I cannot get through to anyone to resolve this and I’m forced to keep going back to reception to dispute it. Past members information should be erased from their system shortly after memberships are canceled. This is extremely poor for a company to be doing this.

Negative experience: I am one of the members (or the brother of a member) at your gym, and I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with the financial practices and lack of communication from your team. We have repeatedly tried to contact you via email to request a change in membership status and later to cancel the contract entirely, yet we have received no response. However, you are quick to reply and take action only when it comes to payments. Most recently, we were surprised to receive a 200 AED fine, despite the fact that the member has not been using the gym for months. My brother signed up for an annual membership despite being on a tourist visa and not residing permanently in the country. One of your staff members assured him that he could cancel the membership if he needed to leave the country. Unfortunately, that turned out to be misleading. You continued to charge fees even though you were fully aware he had already left the country. I also find it extremely concerning that you allowed someone on a tourist visa to register for an annual contract without requesting proper official documentation. No ID or proof of residency was collected, which raises questions about your internal registration processes. At this point, you have charged me for approximately four months, although no one has attended the gym during that period. I find it unethical to continue charging for services you know are not being used — especially when the member is no longer in the country. Even major telecom providers like Etisalat and du allow customers to cancel contracts with a simple one-month penalty. But in your case, it seems your only concern is money. I request an immediate review of this matter, the cancellation of the membership, and a refund of the unjust charges. Otherwise, I will be forced to escalate this issue to the relevant consumer protection authorities.

Negative experience: Worst customer service!. My husband 1yr subscription completed 3yrs ago, before the plan contract ends, my husband already requested the cancellation, he filled up the form and even talk to the customer service multiple times. After we paid the 1yr contract, they are still demanding us to continuously pay as the contract has been renewed for another year automatically!!!. We ask them to cancel this but thy keep on insisting and even transfer the account to debt collectors which are still pestering us till now and even threatening us that they already file police complaint. Mind you, out of that 12mos, my husband only came to that gym in 4months. As of today, they are still trying to charge my card 159dhs every month which luckily my bank was able to block. Is there anyone that can help me to stop this or file a complaint to this gym and its management? Pls let me know.

Despite me sending emails to cancel the membership, they are rejecting that and keep debiting my account although my membership passed the one year contract… And instead of telling people to leave a comment on your website.. why don’t you leave your contact number for people to contact you freely? Right?!! But you don’t want that and you hide behind your screens and keyboards!!

Negative experience: this gym Stelling money from the customers, I requested a cancellation for a medical reason on 28 Nov 2024, and on 30 Mar 2025 they deduct 5 months from my bank account plus they deduct the money from a card I already deleted from my account. so if you requested to deleted you bank card from there system, the lying they will never deleted and till now they not give me back my money

Negative experience: extremely bad customer service, they don’t help with anything, i’ve been left on read many times. they only care for money, if you don’t pay on time they immediately call and text you everyday but if you need help with a problem they don’t even bother to answer. never in my life have i had such bad customer service experience. i’m even trying to cancel my membership but they denied my request, i don’t want to continue with them anymore even if i have to drive all the way downtown. i don’t recommend!!!!

She signed up through the official link, which provided no mention of needing an appointment—just that she would be contacted. When we arrived at the gym together, instead of a warm welcome, we were met with rude and dismissive treatment. The receptionist assigned Beza to assist us, but from the start, she had an attitude and zero interest in helping. She immediately told my girlfriend she couldn’t work out and would need to pay for a day pass because she didn’t have an appointment. We explained that she had signed up correctly and hadn’t received any instructions about booking, but Beza insisted they had called—even though my girlfriend is new to the country and not all her calls are going through. Instead of showing understanding or trying to help, she refused to listen. What made this worse was that the gym was nearly empty, and the receptionist told us they had appointments available every hour—yet Beza still refused to let my girlfriend book one for the same day. We even suggested stepping outside so she could call us herself, but she flat-out refused. It was only after we pushed the conversation further that she admitted we could book for another day, but why wasn’t that option offered in the first place? It felt like she was more focused on saying no than finding a solution. On top of that, she even questioned what type of membership I had, which was completely irrelevant to the situation and just added to the poor experience. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told he was unavailable. I’ve always recommended this gym, but after this experience, I have serious concerns about their customer service

Negative experience: Terrible First Experience – Rude Staff & Poor Customer Service I recently moved to the country and was excited to try GymNation after my boyfriend, a member, referred me for a day pass. I followed the sign-up process via the link he sent me, which provided no information about needing an appointment—only that I would be contacted. When I arrived at the gym with my boyfriend, I was met with an unpleasant and unwelcoming experience. The receptionist assigned Beza to assist us, but instead of being helpful, she was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to provide a solution. She immediately told me I couldn’t work out and had to pay for a day pass because I didn’t have an appointment. When I explained that I had signed up properly and hadn’t received any clear instructions about booking, she claimed they had tried calling me—unfortunately, as someone new to the country, not all my calls have been going through. Despite our attempts to explain and find a reasonable solution, she refused to listen or offer any flexibility. The gym was completely empty, and the receptionist even told me they had appointments available every hour, yet Beza still refused to let me book one for the same day. Instead of offering solutions, she kept repeating the same response like a robot. To make things worse, she even questioned what type of membership my boyfriend had, as if that had any relevance to my situation. When I asked to speak to a manager, she simply said he was unavailable. This is not how you treat potential customers. A gym should be welcoming, accommodating, and solution-oriented, but instead, my first experience at GymNation was frustrating and disappointing. If this is how they treat new visitors, I can only imagine how they handle their members. I was genuinely interested in joining, but after this experience, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Customer service matters.

Negative experience: I will call it "Sca..Nation!" I was on a 3-day free trial, and today was supposed to be my last day and i was ready to join once i finish my session. But when I arrived, they suddenly asked me to pay AED 50, claiming the trial must be used on consecutive days—something they never mentioned before! I used my second trial just yesterday, so their excuse is clearly false. The staff was also rude. They completely change my mind to join. On top of that, the gym is way too crowded. I joined Fitness First instead on the same day, and it’s much better! Avoid this gym

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with one of the agents . She’s not reliable as she gave me incomplete information about joining the gym . My intention was very clear before joining the gym and it was based on the inclusion of reformer Pilates in the package she offered me , however after signing in she denied this inclusion and mentioned that I have to upgrade my package to avail the above mentioned classes !! This was just to avail her commission. The worst is her denial and on this when I asked her to reconfirm what she mentioned to me before I signed in. This is a big frustration and means a lack of customer service quality and credibility. I ended up asking for cancellation even before my membership starts due to this unclarity ! In addition I couldn’t contact any manager as I can’t reach out to any number through the agent herself or even online , though I asked her many times to direct me to someone in charge to complain. She says there is no one to be contacted !!!! I hope this is taken into consideration and a compensation is given back.

Fantastic experience: I regret not joining Gymnation sooner. Their flexible class schedules cater perfectly to my interests, and all of their coaches have been incredibly supportive. I've already noticed significant results from attending classes alone. I'd like to extend a special thank you to Gaith Al-Hourani for his consistently inspiring energy and high-intensity approach, which consistently burns 400-500 calories in just 30 minutes. I hope to have more opportunities to train with him in the future. Additionally, I'd like to express my gratitude to Lujain, Rezy, Ahmed, Mohammed, and Ireen. As a suggestion for improvement, I recommend implementing regular maintenance cycles in cycling room to enhance results. Additionally, optimizing the speed and accuracy of the Gymnation app would greatly benefit its users.

Positive experience: Good value but poorly maintained everywhere. Rowing machines, assault bikes and most cabled machines need a decent service or repair. Shower heads need fixing. Cleaning crew do a good job. Gym pretty busy most of the time.

Considering the very competitive monthly price, you do get excellent service and facilities. The gym is huge and very well equipped with every resistance machine, CV machine and free weight you could wish for, and more! Theres certainly a lot of scope to vary your workouts with a multitude of options to hit every body part. It can get quite busy occasionally but I’m not surprised considering the excellent value for money and friendly atmosphere. Well done Grant and the team, and keep up the good work!
