Fantastic experience: Warrior Academy is a place I discovered this past summer when the kids and I were looking for ways to keep busy. Let’s just say, it provides more than a way to keep busy! My 4 year old son adores Coach Douglas, who is amazing with kids. Instilling confidence and discipline, my son’s ability to sit in class without disruption and focus to his work has developed substantially. All the team are great here, but Coach Douglas is the best match for our son as he teaches respect, honor and discipline in a way that my son seems to understand. Highly recommend for both boys and girls. Adults could probably do well here, too.

Negative experience: Maybe in the UK they are good….. I’m sure they are great to raise money for their charity to spread “Martial Arts” to the Slums of the world. Very admirable. But developing “Character & confidence to kids” - don’t think so. Especially when they hosted their Gulf Championship exhibition event over the weekend. Utter shambles. Also not encouraging or developing confidence to my 9 year old who was Put against a kid double his size. Different belts. And it wasn’t for the final showdown/category. It was the initial sparring session.

We’re really sorry to hear you had a bad experience at our competition. We’ve been running competitions for 15 years and over the last 5 years in the UAE alone we have had over 7,000 people attend our competitions and never had a negative review, this is reflected in the large number of 5 star reviews you can see on all of our google profiles. There are 4 categories in our competition, in the first 3 categories children are put in groups of 4-8 with others their own age, the same belt and ability. We then have the final category called the “Ultimate Warrior”, this is completely different. We’ve been running the Ultimate Warrior Category for over a decade and it’s hugely popular. This is an optional category where it is made absolutely clear that all students are mixed into one group. It’s an open category that is designed to allow less experienced students to show incredible courage by facing, more experienced, taller, older opponents, as well as a chance for our more experienced students to show respect, care and sportsmanship. We ensure strict rules on semi-contact only throughout. As such we have never had an injury in this category. Of course, entering your child into a competition is an emotional experience for any parent and we approach this with the upmost care from our team and absolute transparency. Information regarding the “Ultimate Warrior”, the rules and the expectations are set far in advance. The clear and intentional “open category” style is made clear prior to the event via WhatsApp, email and through flyers and video content explaining the competition as well as on the day explained in detail verbally to parents and students. The call I received to discuss my experience and express how I felt in the competition show how much the academy tries to reach their highest levels and that our kids in a good hands in term of teaching them marshal arts.

They improved a lot technically and are stronger physically as well as more confident. Coach Douglas is the best coach we could dream of. The staff also is super nice, you can use Wifi, have free coffee and continue to work while your child is in his class so even for parents the place is a great one :) definitely super happy with the warrior academy !

The classes are kept small so they can better focus on the kids. Also my daughter loves her coach! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Recently enrolled my son to the academy. My son loved his first session with coach Anne. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Fantastic experience: Its a lovely center that caters to both parents as well as children, they have a friendly and welcoming ambience. It is yet too early to judge the impact of the course on my kids, however they seem to enjoy the classes and look forward to attending them.
Fantastic experience: Warrior Academy provides my daughter something to look forward to. More than just enjoying herself, she had grown in confidence and discipline. Her coaches have truly been dedicated and focused in bringing out the best not just with my daughter but with every kid. It is heart warming to see her love the learning she gets in Taekwondo with Coach Annabelle and Coach Bader. When your kid loves to be present without fail, you know that you found a great partner that's committed to seeing your kid flourish and shine.
Fantastic experience: It’s an amazing academy for the kids in order to build confidence , grit, skill, & technique . All the instructors are incredibly talented, they are either international or national champions, ones that have had an opportunity to represent their country. The sense of community is amazing , and the mixed martial arts along with sparring and weapons classes are highly recommended. Extremely happy it’s been 4 years already for us !

Fantastic experience: Quite impressed with the Warrior Academy staff and the course in general. Very professional, teaching and building on key skills and techniques, engaging/fun for the kids and the staff are always helpful/accommodating - Coach B, Master Leon, Marlyn and the entire team at Al Quoz, are amazing! Large focus on discipline, attention and hard work. Our daughter has really benefited, with an improved self confidence and overall improved physical ability, and the extra motivation to strive for the next belt as a reward for her efforts! Fantastic experience: Warrior Academy is been an amazing place for my two children and myself. Every week I spend a few hours here bringing both my children for their marshal arts classes. They have thrived. The staff is super friendly and supportive. The coaches are knowledgeable and I am grateful for the guidance Master Leon, Coach Arnisa and Coach Bader provide. They don’t just train the kids inside of the dojo but always take out the additional time to support their journeys and answer and guide me with the ton of questions I usually have. We love it here. And of course they have put thought into providing the waiting parents a lovely lounge and free coffee. ❤️

Negative experience: I booked a trial session for my 13 year old son. Paid for it and was given confirmation for a session on Sunday at 6 pm. When we reached the center it was shut. Nobody contacted us till now. I am contacting them and they have stop taking my calls. Very poor management.
Dear Richa, Here is a screen shot of the email you received the day before your trial class explaining of the cancelation due to the emergency flooding in April: https://warrioracademy.ae/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Richa-response.jpg As explained via the phone, you booked your trial with us during the Nationwide Emergency following the storm and subsequent flooding in Dubai. Despite our building losing electricity entirely we managed to access our database and contact all parents to inform them that we were unable to run in person classes and had to switch to online as, for most of the country it was not safe to travel to the building. COMMUNICATION OF CANCELLED CLASS: As per our many discussions on the phone over the last 2 days, you were informed of the shut down and cancelled trial on: 20th April at 13:30 the day before your trial class, when the decision was made to close classes (See screenshot above). You confirmed via WhatsApp that you had received this confirmation of cancelation and that the fault was not ours in regards to confirmation. CONTACT VIA PHONE SUNDAY NIGHT: Our office is closed Sunday evening until Monday morning, this would then have been outside of our working hours with no phone line operational. Unfortunately, during this period you posted 2 defamatory comments on our social media posts as well as a 1 start review here. Within a few hours of opening up our physical office again on Monday morning, discovering the comments and negative review, it was a priority for us to contact you to rebook you in for a class and apologise for the inconvenience you experienced. OUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE: Our head of Character Development immediately got in touch. We offered you a full refund for the trial you missed which was issued immediately and received by you within 24 hours. As you can see from the above series of events, we have done everything within our power to ensure communication went to you regarding the cancelled class (***Confirmed, as received by you), to contact you as soon as we were aware of the situation (***As a priority as soon as we were open) and to rectify the unfortunate situation you found yourself in with a wasted trip (***You requested a refund, which we provided immediately). We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and we know that when parents book with us at The Warrior Academy they expect the absolute best in communication. While it was an incredibly unpredictable week in the city during a nationwide emergency, ultimately, you didn't feel we provided you with the perfect experience that we have a reputation to deliver. While we are sad to see this evolve into negative reviews and multiple negative comments across our social media that seeks to damage our reputation, we constantly seek to improve, so will aim to see this as a learning experience.

Fantastic experience: Great place for my son.He is constantly improving with his conduct,concentration and especially his confidence.Have seen a drastic change in his behaviour outside the dojo in his daily life.His class on a monday with wonderful coach anisa and jamshed on a wednesday is great!Also he has a great trainer on a wednesday!He really enjoys his classes with these coaches.He spends most of his time with these coaches.They work sooo well with the kids.Keep up the good work guys!Thankyu also to Windy whos is wonderful and friendly and always tkes care of our beverage needs!And all the staff in general are soo friendlyWell done guys!
