Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with how my situation has been handled. I have been trying to resolve my membership cancellation for days, yet no one has ever called me to properly discuss my case. All communication has been limited to short email replies, which feels impersonal, dismissive, and unfair given the circumstances. I lost my job and clearly communicated this from the very beginning. I submitted my cancellation, but I was unable to pay the outstanding balance at that time because I had lost my job and had to wait for my company to pay me. Once my company paid me, I immediately tried to get in touch with someone from the gym to help me process the cancellation. Instead, the only responses I received were messages telling me that I now have to pay double. This has placed me in a never-ending email loop with no real support or empathy. What is most frustrating is being asked to pay for an additional billing period that I will not even use, simply because of rigid policies — policies that are repeatedly sent to me instead of actually listening to my situation. I have worked in customer service myself, and I know that exceptions can be made, especially for loyal members. I have been a member for over a year, and yet I do not feel considered or valued at all. There has been no flexibility, no human approach, and no attempt to find a fair solution — just automated, policy-based responses. When they want to sell you a membership, they constantly follow up with endless messages and friendly calls, but when you try to find a solution to cancel a membership, those customer service skills suddenly disappear. Customer service should be about people, not just rules. This experience has been stressful, disappointing, and far from what I expected from a brand that claims to care about its members.

Negative experience: بتاريخ ١٣ سبتمبر سجلت ابنتي بحضور والدتها في الجيم جمنيشن فرع الداون تاون و تم الاتفاق الواضح على التسجيل لمدة محدودة شهر واحد فقط ٥٠٠ درهم ، و تم دفع قيمة شهر واحد فقط علما بأن قيمة مدة الشهر الواحد هو أكبر من قيمة الاشتراك طويل الأمد و هذا يؤكد ان النية و الاتفاق بينهم هو شهر واحد . بعد انتهاء الشهر تم تحويلنا لللاشتراك السنوي كل شهر ٣١٤ درهم لمدة و تمت المطالبة بدفع شهر من بطاقة البنك المسجلة عندهم بدون وجه حق ، بحجة اننا لم نقدم طلب الغاء الاشتراك مع ان الاتفاق محدد لمدة شهر واحد و لم يخبرنا احد بشكل واضح اننا يجب ان نقدم طلب الغاء مع العلم حسب قوانينهم ان طلب الالغاء يجب ان يقدم قبل ٣٠ يوما ، و بالتالي عند التسجل هم يعرفون ان الاتفاق منتهي خلال شهر , و عند التحدث للمحاسب قال اذا لم ادفع سوف يظل يطالبني بالدفع كل شهر ؟؟؟؟ ملاحظة ( من قبل الذكر ) ابتني قدمت توقيف بقيمة ٥٠ درهم و تم دفعها يوم ١٢ أكتوبر الاعتراف تم اعتراف موظفي الاستقال ان الاتفاق لمدة شهر( طبعا تم تغيير التاريخ الى 13 ) تم تقديم شكوى لحماية المستهلك بتاريخ 29-11-2025 و نص الشكوى اخلال بالاتفاق، اخفاء معلومات عن العميل سحب مبلغ مباشر من البطاقة المسجلة دون وجه حق ، الاتصال و التهديد اذا لم يتم الدفع سوف يحولون القضية لطرف ثالث ، رفض اعطائنا نسخة إلكترونية عن العقد المحدد لمدة شهر . اذا لم تحل المشكلة خلال 3 ايام عمل سوف اقدم شكوى بالجرائم الالكترونية خصوصا ان لكم تاريخ كبير بسحب الاموال من البطاقات بدون وجه شرعي . On September 13th, my daughter, accompanied by her mother, registered at the Gym Nation Downtown branch. It was clearly agreed that the registration would be for a limited period of one month only, for a fee of 500 dirhams. Only the monthly fee was paid, and since this fee is higher than the long-term membership fee, it is clear that the agreement was for a one-month subscription. After the month ended, we were switched to the annual subscription at 314 dirhams per month, and we were charged for one month from the bank card registered with them without justification, claiming that we did not submit a cancellation request, even though the agreement was for a single month and no one clearly informed us that we needed to submit a cancellation request. According to their policies, the cancellation request must be submitted 30 days in advance. Therefore, when signing up, they know the agreement ends within a month. When speaking to the accountant, he said that if I don't pay, they will continue to charge me every month. Note (from the male): I submitted a deposit of 50 dirhams, which was paid on October 12. The acknowledgment was confirmed by the resignation staff that the agreement was for one month (of course, the date was changed to the 13th). A complaint was submitted to Consumer Protection on 29-11-2025, and the text of the complaint states breach of the agreement, hiding information from the client, withdrawing an amount directly from the registered card without justification, contacting and threatening that if payment is not made, they will refer the case to a third party, refusal to provide us with an electronic copy of the contract specified for one month. If the problem is not resolved within 3 working days, I will submit a complaint to the Cybercrime Authorities, especially since you have a long history of withdrawing money from cards without legal grounds.

Negative experience: The first time I spoke with Mr. Bryan, he explained that there was a subscription offer: the first month for 64 AED and then 169 AED per month. Based on this information, I agreed and joined. A few months later, I lost my job and was unable to continue my workouts, yet I have still been paying for the last three months without using the facility. Mr. Bryan sold me a one-year contract without clearly informing me that it required a mandatory 12-month commitment and could not be canceled. I have tried multiple times to cancel through the app, customer service, and by visiting the counter. According to their policy, I even submitted my visa cancellation form, but they still refused to cancel and asked for a home-country flight ticket, which is unreasonable. Now I have a new job with a different location and schedule, making it impossible for me to continue the membership. When I asked Mr. Bryan again about canceling, he simply sent me the 12-month contract. I was shocked. This is not the right way to sell or conduct business. I recommend that everyone make sure to fully understand the cancellation process before joining.

Negative experience: the gym is ok. but the amenities on the other hand is really bad toilets and changing rooms are full of cockroaches,lockers always have bad odour in general house keeping and pest control could be better no hair dryers also if you bring your own dryer the power outlets are not accessible . no water dispenser,which is not very encouraging to bring reusable water bottles. am counting the days for my membership to end so i can switch to other gym

Fantastic experience: Had my first trial day at GymNation and honestly… I’m impressed. The whole place has such a clean, aesthetic vibe that you actually want to work out. The machines are top-tier and super well-maintained, and even the free-weight area feels spacious and motivating instead of crowded or chaotic.

Negative experience: Came all the way from work at D3 after registering online while having my confirnation message but on my work phone the filipino man at reception wouldn't let me in because i didnt have my other phone on me. Very petty and stupid.. especially after confirming my exact time himself while claiming he cant see it on system. Just for a 1 day free trial

Negative experience: I do not usually leave negative feedback but this time I felt it was necessary to share my experience. I was on a business trip and visited this gym twice. The day pass costs 20 euros (100 dirhams) which I found quite high for the quality of service provided. During my first visit around 11 p.m., the gym was almost empty. My second visit around 8 p.m. was the opposite, extremely crowded and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, no towels were included, and I was surprised to learn that renting one cost an additional 7 euros. The showers had no hot water, and the café did not provide a simple protein shake with water. These small details made the overall experience disappointing, especially considering the price. On a positive note, I would like to mention two staff members (I do not know their names) who were genuinely kind and professional, they helped leave a better final impression. I also appreciated the separate women’s area, which was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Overall, I feel the gym is overpriced for what it offers. I would not choose to join if I lived in Dubai, but I truly hope management takes this feedback constructively.

I have been trying for weeks to get a cancellation and they ask me for specific documents I sent the documents multiples time and the team was very negligent with the responses. I wouldn’t advise to get a yearly subscription from this place. I’m Never coming back. They just wanna steal your money.

Negative experience: You ask to cancel membership and they scam you with bank details saved and keep taking money despite having email confirming receiving the cancellation request and saying would be cancelled next month , yet kept taking money for a year after and when asked for a refund with the email I have . They manipulated and never escalated . ( no clear escalation process ) and keep sending messages to pay again coz I changed the card .

Negative experience: I had visited the gym ,1 month back, and informed the staff at the reception about canceling my membership. They confirmed that the cancellation was done. However, today I received a message from my bank stating that the monthly fee has still been deducted. This is very disappointing and reflects poor customer service. My issue remains unresolved, and no one has contacted me to address it yet.

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with Gymnasium Financial Center. I joined on a 12-month membership plan and have already completed 8 months. Due to personal reasons and moving far away, I could not continue going to the gym. Even though I explained my situation, they continue taking money from my account without permission. When I visited the gym, they told me they don’t have a contact number and only asked me to send an email. I searched on Google as well, but there is no phone number listed—only an email option. I sent emails, but never received any reply. I even contacted the staff member who originally signed me up, but when I send messages, they don’t reply or even look at them. This is very frustrating and unprofessional. There is no proper customer service, no phone support, and no flexibility with memberships. I would not recommend choosing long-term packages here, because if you cannot continue for any reason, they will keep charging you and ignore your concerns.

Negative experience: I joined GymNation in Nov 2023 and cancelled in Mar 2024, following their terms and conditions and providing proof of my relocation to end the contract. I was billed for the April notice, which I accepted, but then billed again in May without my consent. After that, silence. And now in 2025 a few weeks ago they started sending me harassing emails for payment of an insane inflated amount for the rest of my contract even though I’ve never used their facilities. I did everything by the book, but they still rejected my cancellation. Very disappointing experience. Please be careful and don’t fall for their unethical tactics.

Despite having a valid reason for not attending (medical advice), I was insulted and asked, "if you can't afford it, why did you take the membership?" This kind of unethical behaviour is shocking. I was planning to return, but after this treatment, myself and my group of six will be cancelling and strongly advising others to avoid Gymnation.

Negative experience: Disappointed with GymNation Experience I was told my contract was for 6 months, only to later find out it’s actually for a full year. I also left my belongings in my locker, and when I returned after 2 weeks, they were gone — including expensive gym clothes. No warning, no notice. Customer service was rude and unhelpful, promising a callback that never came. It’s been over 3 weeks and no one picks up the phone. At AED 199/month, I expected better. I’d rather pay AED 400 elsewhere for honesty and real service.
