Negative experience: staff front desk was friendly, but the holds for bouldering are dirty and will turn your nails/fingertips black and need cleaning, also only liquid chalk is allowed.

Fantastic experience: This climbing gym is such a great alternative to regular gyms. I have a hard time sticking with the usual ones, but this place keeps me hooked. The climbing itself gets me pumped every time I go, and the community and staff are super supportive, which makes it even better. Definitely would recommend - it’s a solid 10/10!

Positive experience: It's pretty great. The induction process if not signed up unlimited is a bit of a faff but very quick whilst thorough. Would be five stars if two things could happen. 1. Allow dry chalk 2. Introduce more flexible membership (punch card, single parent membership ... ) We climb at another gym but would be great to be able to use both to keep things fruity. Too expensive to buy couple membership as daughter only climbs once per week.

Positive experience: Place is amazing! Front desk staff however are ridiculously inefficient. From the time it takes to make payment to their poor communication of what happens next in terms of getting your shoes and harness etc could take up to 30 minutes if you don't ask repeatedly for it. After you pay you're basically ignored. Will definitely look for a new more efficient place that doesn't stall and waste time so much.

Fantastic experience: Mountain Extreme is an amazing place to start indoor climbing, they offer many courses related to climbing and the staff is the soul of the place! They are very warm and caring in all aspects! Loved Mountain Extreme Dubai .

Positive experience: It was my first time going indoor rock climbing, and I went alone so I had no idea what I was signing up for. The staff were really warm and helpful as soon as I arrived, they explained everything clearly and stuck around till I knew what I was doing. I’m excited to go back!

Positive experience: I spent half hour getting all the payment done which we must install an new app. Visiting climbing clubs in a new city is a norm for climbers so this logistics are really disappointing. The lines are not as good as I expected not a good represent of Dubai.

I was there 2 Times during a little visit in Dubai, operators are so kindly and friendly, the Gym it’s big and there’s a lot of Boulder problems and a lot of lead Lines for any tipe of grades, for beginners and for experts. Fantastic experience: Great indoor climbing (top rope as well as boulder), many auto-belays, nice clean facilities (little cafe upstairs, shower, …), fun and helpful team! Downside; you can’t use your own harness unless it’s Petzl. To belay you have to be certified by them. Only liquid chalk is allowed.

Positive experience: Wasal made my experience great. Unfortunately the rules for "drop in" suck. You would have to go through a safety briefing EVERYTIME you book a session. I find this to be a tad ridiculous and holds this venue back from a 5 star rating.

Fantastic experience: Our experience was great from the beginning. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. They do not just explain things to u at the beginning but they are around all the time if you want an advice. There is a small café as well with view over the whole place. Will come back again.

Positive experience: The place itself is nice, walls are great and the front desk staff is really nice. My complain: I went with kids, they asked me to go in to supervise them but also to pay. I got gear and everything but basically, they want you to he on the ground to check on your kids most of the time. They should not make the accompanying parent pay so that we could properly stay in the ground and assist kids at all time.

Positive experience: The staff were great and had really good energy, very welcoming and patient too. Our safety instructor was friendly and explained all the grading and how the auto belays work. Honestly, I wasn't expecting to enjoy the leads as much as I did but it was fun to push through to the top. And the absailing down was so smooth! As for the bouldering, it was hit and miss. I believe they use a colour chart, but as someone who's been climbing on and off for a year, the setting was tough. I brought my cousin along and really wanted to show him different routes and work on some problems together... Turns out we weren't cut out for it lol. Basically, I'd say go here for lead climbing and bouldering for like v3 or higher!

Positive experience: High price, they just increased prices (100aed+ 25% if you want to rent shoes). There is no appropriate space for heating up before the session, or for stretching after. Very minimal for its price. Not sure that blocks are frequently cleaned, as my hands become black quite fast. Nice people.

Fantastic experience: I have been going there for around 1-2 months, today I paid my membership, such a lovely and supportive team, I would like to thank Wasel (Best trainer and team leader), Rachel , Ashuna , Mubena and Juven for a great work they do and well done guys. I definitely recommend everyone to try it, it’s dangerous because you will become addicted to the sport and the place.

Fantastic experience: A lot of auto belay for a variety of routes, easy-hard. You can do both bouldering and lead climb and both have many routes. The gym is very clean and they have a cafe upstairs. The reception is very friendly and they help you with setting up the application and registering for a class. A nice activity to try out in Dubai

Fantastic experience: I did a walk in climbing session with my own gear. There was a fairly quick safety and gym rule walk though, followed by an unlimited climbing time to get as much climbing in as you feel you need the day. I really enjoyed the super friendly staff, some of the best I have engaged with in any gym. The climbing routes are well set for any skill level. The gym rules are inline with most larger international gyms (Except the harness having to be petzl, they however will provide a simple harness for use if yours is a different brand, so it's not an issue). Can't wait to climb there again :-) thanks Mountain Extreme team
