Negative experience: I would like to share feedback regarding a recurring issue I have experienced with reception communication, which unfortunately reached an unacceptable level during my visit today. For context, I am a Guest Relations Supervisor at Emirates Airline, and through my role I have access to several top gyms in Dubai such as Veo Downtown, Warehouse Gym, Studio Republic, and Wellfit. I regularly rotate between these facilities; however, I have been more inclined toward Wellfit due to its excellent location and, more importantly, the welcoming and supportive attitude of most of the team. The trainers and staff are generally very friendly, always greeting members with a smile and offering help during workouts. I would especially like to recognize Lucy, Mira, wassim and the Filipino gentleman for their professionalism and positive attitude. I have consistently recommended Wellfit to friends and connections, and as a result, two out of five people I referred have already subscribed—thanks largely to Mira’s helpfulness and her effort in securing good annual offers for them. What happened today, however, was highly disappointing and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced such behavior, and I have started to feel that the receptionist may have a personal issue with me. I fully understand and respect club rules, including daily access limits for club members. However, rules should always be communicated respectfully and professionally. I had not attended the gym for the past two months due to surgery, which can be verified in the system. Today, I contacted Mira—as I usually do when asking about offers or trial access for people I recommend—and explained that I was nearby and wanted to do 30 minutes of cardio. Given my history with the club and referrals, she kindly approved a one-time exception. When I arrived, Mira informed the receptionist that she had granted this exception. His response, said in front of me, was: “*NO I WILL NOT LET HIM IN* I will check who gave you the exception, and I need to call him first.” This was said in a very unprofessional manner and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Such behavior does not align with the standards expected from a gym of this level. I do not have any personal issues with anyone; however,the reception has repeatedly shown a negative attitude toward me and also toward people I bring in for trials. If trial access is no longer acceptable, then Wellfit should reconsider advertising trial days altogether. I genuinely value Wellfit and the majority of its team, which is why I felt it was important to provide this feedback. I hope this matter will be addressed to ensure consistent professionalism and respectful communication with all members and guests.

I need to go more often but my time has been limited due to an addiction to padel. Wish they'd add a couple of courts to the Meydan facility.

Fantastic experience: Wellfit Gym Meydan, Dubai is a clean spacious and well equipped facility. It has nice shower rooms, sauna and a swimming pool for after workouts. It offers a wide variety of classes (fitness,spin,boxing,zumba,yoga,belly dance,cross fit) that make this gym my go-to for a great workout experience! I highly recommend this Wellfit gym to anyone who dreams to get fitter and happier. Amongst all friendly and professional staff I'd like in particular to thank coach Abigail Pondoc ( Abi) for being such a great coach. Her knowledge of fitness has been invaluable. Abi creates such an enthusiastic and fun atmosphere. Her passion for fitness and consistency in delivering fitness lessons are beyond my expectations. I am frequently taking her Lesmills (Body pump, Body Balance), Pilates, TRX classes and always I'm looking to try new classes with Abi. Well done , Abi! See you soon at Wellfit ❤️!

Negative experience: Great gym design, but major privacy issues Wellfit Meydan has excellent equipment and a well-planned layout, but there’s a serious ongoing problem: constant filming on the gym floor. It’s almost impossible to train without ending up in someone’s video, and I’ve even found myself posted on social media without consent. I raised this with management several times, but the only explanation given was that many members are vloggers. That doesn’t replace the need for clear policies or proper enforcement — especially when members are tied to a one-year contract with no real protection for their privacy. The gym has strong potential, but until it addresses filming and creates a more respectful environment, it’s hard to recommend for anyone who expects a comfortable gym culture to experience.

Negative experience: The gym itself seems amazing from what I’ve heard, but my experience at the front desk completely ruined my visit. The receptionist, ASHRAF, was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He showed a lot of attitude, didn’t smile once, and made me feel like I was bothering him just by asking a simple question. I asked about a trial, and he denied it in the most unprofessional way possible. If this is the first impression they give to potential members, it’s honestly not worth coming back. Management seriously needs to address customer service at the reception.

Negative experience: An absolutely horrible experience. I was treated like an unwanted burden by one of their “coaches” despite my previous experience training with coaches for years. When I asked other members of the gym, I was informed they had a similar experience with this coach who was arrogant, unwelcoming and dismissive to both myself and the other member on different unrelated occasions. I left the class feeling bullied and alienated and when I brought this up to management, they offered me nothing but an empty apology from the coach who I made clear I never wanted to see again. So not only did they ignore my horrible experience, they also ignored my clear request that a forced apology would upset me further. Not worth the cost nor the humiliation that you should feel subpar next to anyone at any fitness level, man or woman. It is unacceptable for a gym whose sole purpose is for health and wellbeing to let someone feel this way in 2025.
