Fantastic experience: “I am currently training with [mohammad labouri], and it has been a great experience so far. He’s very professional, motivates me every session, and makes sure I do the exercises with proper form. I’m already seeing improvements and enjoying the workouts. Highly recommend him!”

Positive experience: Went along for a trial one day session mainly to see if thi splace really lives up to the hype and would be a good gym to join, sadly after the intial greeting at reception it all started to raise eyebrows. First you need to go through another set of electronically monitored access gates to get to the changing rooms, and again to get into other parts of the gym, in fact you spend a lot of time scanning access gates than really needed. The mens changing rooms are in desperate need of a refurb! Old, kinda dirty, and not welcoming at all.... the showers are kinda ok but they are the kinda shower you have just to get home and have another shower to clean off! Credit where credit is due, reception team was awesome, helpful and attentive but once inside the first thing to see is the construction to the left which is not protected as well as it should be, you even have to walk over and avoid construction material to get upstairs... Once upstairs in the cardio area you suddenly realise, not only is all the equipment very old, but a couple of the few treadmills they have don't work and the ones that do are very outdated. Warm up done and back down the stairs, walk over the construction site and then try to navigate to find a resistence manchine, which are all again outdated and old! In general I think this place has great potential, just needs some work, maybe the construction work is part of a bigger refurbishment that includes replacing the outdated old machines and equipment, one would hope so! Shame reallly..... parking is good, location is good, size of location is great, pool is good, but needs urgent updating!

Positive experience: Used to be a nice gym but lately it’s gone down - always some area is blocked off for maintenance, to loud music and bad music , not enough machines

Negative experience: I gave this app one star because the customer service through WhatsApp has become terrible. No one answers. The reception team is professional, but they can’t help if there’s an issue with the app. It looks they the cutting the cost as before the response was good. Even the cleaning gym equipment before was there is sign for cleaning but not any more. I am not sure why they are not maintain in same level.

Negative experience: By far the worst gym in Dubai. Sales rep didn’t even show up and the tour was horrendous!

Negative experience: Take so long just to do one day trial, no sense of urgency or anything, the lady I spoke with on WhatsApp blatantly ignored me and showed no sense of remorse

Negative experience: They have a vegan bowl that is cooked with the same rack at the meat, it taste just like meat and they claim that it is cooked on a new rack. As a gym they need to have respect for dietary preferences.

Fantastic experience: i love coach mohamed so much hes my favourite and hes always there for anyone whos in trouble. i even have a nickname that i call him everytime i see him. the camp is also equally as amazing because theres so many activities to do and everyone there is so welcoming.

Negative experience: When I initially signed up for the annual membership, I was informed that I could cancel it if I relocated. Now that I’ve moved both my residence and workplace to a much farther location, my cancellation request has been denied. Unfortunately, I still have six months left that I’ve already paid for but can no longer use — and the salesperson who assisted me is no longer responding. This feels unfair and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent session with Mohammed Labouri. Patient with my lack of gym fitness and very able to explain the machines and best ways to get benefit from them. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Our child Vasilisa Tsiazhkina has been doing well gymnastics at Fit Republic from 3 years old and now she in stage 4 . She has been coached by Coach Precious, Coach Kudzi and Ambre since she was 3 years old and currently Coach with coach Maris and Coach Mae. We're greatful to have a coach like them. They have a good balance between caring and encouraging the gymnastics to do the best they can and just this few months she won in gymnastics competition!!!... Those coaches have impressive wealth and depth of knowledge that they freely share with the students in a supportive manners.We have always had an open line of discussion with the coaches who gladly make themselves available to talk whenever possible. We feel very fortunate to have our child at such a great gymnastics club. Love Tsiazhkin Family .

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing and alarming experience. I registered my 6-year-old son for a full week of activities at FitRepublic, trusting they would provide a safe and supervised environment. On the very first day, I found my child alone outside near the road, under the sun, with no supervision whatsoever. He had passed two security barriers and was left completely unsupervised no staff even noticed he was missing until I brought him back inside myself. This is not a minor issue. This is a serious safety failure that could have ended in tragedy. As a parent, I was absolutely shocked and heartbroken. I immediately withdrew my son and requested a full refund. I sincerely hope this review helps raise awareness and pushes FitRepublic to take real accountability to ensure this never happens again to any child.

Fantastic experience: RE Swimming Lessons: LTS Beginner with Amy Bovens Amy has a unique ability to meet her students at their individual level, allowing her to quickly identify and address specific challenges from the outset. Personally, I struggled significantly with rotation and side-breathing during freestyle, and my backstroke capacity was quite limited. Amy focused on strengthening my fundamentals, giving particular attention to these areas. As a result, my confidence and enjoyment in the water improved exponentially. She is both extremely passionate and kind in her approach, capable of providing a strong foundation that enables any swimmer to progress and thrive in the sport. Thank you Amy and Swimming Team at FitRepublik!

Fantastic experience: Fit Republic is one of my favorite gyms in the area—I come here almost every day and have always appreciated the facilities and atmosphere. However, I’m really disappointed with a new rule regarding the wristband. If you forget it, you’re either sent home to get it or required to pay 53 AED to enter. The last two times I forgot mine, I was only allowed in after spending a couple of minutes arguing with the reception. Today, I had to pay the fee—even though the staff knows me well and I’m a regular member with a disability. I don’t think this is a fair policy, especially considering how expensive the membership already is. It feels like a harsh punishment for something that can easily happen to anyone. Policies like this might push loyal customers to consider other gyms with more understanding and flexibility.

Personalized attention inside and outside of the gym helps me in staying accountable and push to get better results! 10/10 Would recommend!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the lack of response from the kids swimming department.

Negative experience: Facility is Great but not our Swim Coach. My child 4yo female used to do private classes and was improved in swimming. Due to vicinity of our private classes we had to shift to Fit republik since it was closer to us. Mind you, per their report on the first semester my childs hand and arm control was great. Then, the second report from great to none. I would say our coach was not competent and not persuasive to kids. She would chit chat to neighbouring coach instead of reach “coach” the kids. Doesn’t talk, aside from calling the attention of the kid. Not engaging and my child swimming skills was not improved after two terms with them, it was even resulted to low performance.

Negative experience: Very stupid way to enter the gym and very arrogant reception team... the one who placed the system in place not sure how he lives in Dubai

Fantastic experience: Coach Amer is a karate coach and an academic specialist in training children. A former international champion, he holds the rank of 5th Dan. My child has changed significantly—from a weak child who was bullied by others to a strong, disciplined, and emotionally balanced individual. Thank you, Coach.

Fantastic experience: We recently celebrated our son Adam’s birthday at Fit Republic, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The venue was perfect – we had 1 hour of MMA followed by 1 hour of swimming, and every moment was full of fun and excitement. A huge thank you to Coach Diago and Grace who did an amazing job keeping the kids engaged, active, and happy the entire time. Their energy and professionalism really stood out. The food was also excellent – fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Everything ran smoothly, and the whole setup was spot on. All the kids left with big smiles (and were completely tired out after 3 hours of non-stop fun!). We couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration. Thank you, Fit Republic!

Negative experience: I was sent a time-sensitive deal from Fit Republic offering a full membership for AED 399. It included everything from gym access to CrossFit, martial arts, and even guest passes. The message clearly came from Fit Republic and had a strict deadline, so I headed over that same day with the intention of signing up. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what was advertised. When I mentioned the deal, the staff barely acknowledged it and instead tried to sell me a completely unrelated package that cost several times more. No real explanation—just a hard push for a more expensive membership. I left feeling pretty annoyed. If you’re going to run flash promotions, at least make sure your team is actually honoring them. Felt like a classic bait-and-switch.

Negative experience: Misleading Summer Promotion Once Dubai’s top gym, Fit Republik has declined badly. Service, quality, and trainers are disappointing. It tries to do too much but excels at nothing. Management focuses more on sales than fitness. The misleading summer promotion was the last straw.

Fantastic experience: Best academy in Dubai!

Fantastic experience: FitRepublik offers high quality classes and training sessions to those ranging from any athletic background. Within their aquatics department, FitRepublik offers high-level training programs and intermediate swimming classes which people can join, and in my case, swimming with Coach Ahmed Gebrel in FitRepublik's Gold Squad for the past 3 years has been great. Their well-managed 50-meter olympic sized pool, competitive starting blocks, and experienced coaches have made me improve significantly. Furthermore, FitRepublik's swimming facility is clean, with the changing rooms being modern and spotless. Overall, I highly recommend training there.

Fantastic experience: Definitely the best gym in Dubai! The energy here is on another level. All the coaches are top-notch, but a special shoutout to Safouen, Ricardo, and Hasan — these guys are incredible! They're always there to support you, push you to your limits, and still keep things super fun. The atmosphere during classes is electric, and the music they play is always on point. If you're looking for a place that motivates you, challenges you, and makes you actually look forward to working out, this is it!

Fantastic experience: I’m super happy with the Group Exercise instructors in Fit Republik, I really like Ricardo’s Body Pump, Circuits and LBT classes. He is super energetic, very dedicated and always correct members to do the correct exercises. I’m coming to Fit Republik for 10 years and I never felt so good in a gym like this one.

The Adult Fitness swimming classes have seriously improved my technique, and I always look forward to every session with Coach Dylan. The CrossFit Aptior community is such a vibe — supportive, fun, and always pushing each other to be better. The coaches really care about our progress, whether we are learning a new skill or grinding through a tough WOD. They make training challenging but enjoyable. I spend most of my time in Ricardo’s classes—they’re full of energy, easy to follow, and somehow the time always flies by. Also, I’m a huge coffee snob, and Zinn serves the best coffee in Dubai. Couldn’t recommend Fit Republik more!

The facilities are excellent, and the environment is always motivating. Coach Dylan has been my swim coach for more than 2 years, and his sessions have helped me improve my technique and confidence in the water. Every class is different and focused on progress. Fantastic experience: I’ve joined FitRepublik in 2019 and started CrossFit end of 2020, hands down the best fitness community in Dubai, you’ll feel welcomed no matter your fitness level, trainers are friendly and helpful in each class. The Strength and Conditioning program is the best in Dubai! You can find different types of classes from endurance to mobility to powerlifting.. there are dozens of gyms in dubai, and many CrossFit areas, but you’ll not find a place like this one.

Negative experience: I had a bad experience with FitRepublik - sports city, as they asking to buy the bracelet access as non-refundable without this you cannot enter the gym, this for Privilee members. I had to call Privilee customer services and they totally disagree with that. And they asked them to allow to enter without paying any additional cost as I’m active member. Better to share!

Positive experience: Restrictive and unfair cancelation policy . The gym is great and, as a full member I can say that classes and facilities are stunning. However, the recent cancellation policy is completely unbalanced and dictatorial. Currently, if you either cancel later than 10 hours prior to the class or do a no-show twice in a week they penalize you by freezing the chance of book any class for a week. 1. Applying the same penalty to a no show than to a late cancellation is exaggerated. A no show is inadmissible but a late cancellation gives room to other people to book and use the class. It shouldn’t be on the same level 2. There are million reasons why you have no option but to cancel the day before or even the same day. Unexpected Health issues , a bad night, traffic. Family, etc… . 10 hours notice is too long. If any event occurs, canceling is a respectful and kind gesture but still gets hardly punished. 3 if you want to change/swap a class on the same slot for any reason , the system forces you to cancel, hence : penalty. 4. It feels like a boarding school ruling system 5. The system applies the penalty to all the classes, regardless which one was cancelled 5 Possible solutions: A. Full penalty for a no show B. Give 2 hours notice for late cancellation. C. Apply equal penalty, proportionate to the number of events ( 2 late cancellation = 2 days penalty) D. Apply penalty only over the cancelled class, not blocking all booking system for everything else E. If you do a late cancellation but the class is not full or someone else could occupy the slot, then it shouldn’t exist penalty. The gym is not impacted for this, so it is not fair to ground members for this. This tries to be a constructive feedback but the reality is that this new system is really annoying. Fit Republik is not cheap and this restrictive system blocks weeks out of a membership that you’ve already paid. It’s abusive

Fantastic experience: The best gym in Dubai by far, fantastic swimming pool of 50m, great CrossFit area, nice environment with friendly coaches.

Negative experience: Horrible timings. For being the only main gym in Dubai Sports City area and closing at 9pm on a weekend night, especially during Ramadan is absurd. Not sure why or who has come up with these timings.

Fantastic experience: One of a kind space with so many options for adults and kids. Great community, beautiful energy.

Negative experience: My daughter goes there for gymnastics. Coach Mohammed Sami is really good and my daughter’s progress accelerated because of him - but this was all ruined because of my horrible experience with re-registration . I have been calling, emailing , whatsapping to get my daughter registered again for term 3 for weeks and yet can’t receive confirmation. They told me the class is full on one day yet managed to register other students on the same day. I have been requesting a call back from the unreachable program manager for over a week now yet no response. Other slots are gone too just waiting. This is very frustrating and unprofessional, all the channels of communications are purely a waste of time.

Negative experience: Disappointed with Fitrepublik’s Treatment of Long-Term Members! I’ve been a loyal member of Fitrepublik for six years, always appreciating the facilities and community. Unfortunately, I recently faced a frustrating situation. Due to a knee surgery, I was unable to attend the gym for six months—a situation I proactively informed them about in advance. Now that I’m ready to return, I was shocked to learn that my founders' rate has been revoked because my membership “expired,” despite my long-term commitment and clear communication. Instead of supporting a dedicated member recovering from surgery, they’re insisting I pay the new, higher rate. This is not how loyal customers should be treated. It’s disappointing to see that longevity and transparency mean so little.

Negative experience: Great training venue but the management is not professional. They don’t care about your basic needs, had to move to another place.

Negative experience: A decent gym and the rating would be higher but they lose a star for each of the following: 1) limited car parking due to nearby construction 2) half the toilets are permanently out of service 3) Half the lockers in the men’s changing room don’t lock

Fantastic experience: As a level 2 gymnast here i really like fitrepublik and the coaches are really nice. They help you improve by pushing you out of your comfort zone but not too much. The gym is huge and has everything you need for practice including two trampolines, lots of bars and beams and a huge floor area. It has a cafe with really good food and a nut-free section. I really recommend going here if you want to do classes or even just work out.

Fantastic experience: One of my fav spots to work out!

Fantastic experience: Gym equipment is good quality and generally it gets only reasonably busy but not too excessive. Main reason to join is for the classes, coaches are really friendly and welcoming, lots of different classes to learn new things and a great community of people. One of the best gyms I've been to. I've been using it for the gym and CrossFit / weightlifting / gymnastics classes so can't speak much about the other classes or facilities as there's a lot of other things to try!

Fantastic experience: If you are considering PT or gym membership as you head into the new year I recommend Rob and the team at Crossfit Aptior. The crossfit coaches at Fit Republik have created such a special community that really encourages growth and commitment. I started with Rob Begley as my personal trainer after attending one of his classes with a friend. His ability to motivate everyone, whether they’re complete beginners or more experienced, and the way he breaks down tasks to make them understandable for someone with little gym technique is impressive. Rob is a consistent source of support and understanding - he gets work and family life impacts on energy but never lets you use them as an excuse not to train. He helps me refine my technique and celebrates the small and big wins - I genuinely enjoy training consistently. A year later, with Rob’s guidance, I’ve gone from sporadic sessions to training 5–7 days a week, and I can see real progress. My children also train here with Sara Hindarsh, who brings the same passion, humour, fun and expertise that will mean they understand technique from a young age and will never be afraid to step into a gym later in life. The entire team of coaches are a joy to work with.
