I had taken Personal training sessions with Ms. RAHAB at the Fitness first, Abudhabi Mall. Training with Ms. Rahab has been a wonderful experience! Сотрудница на ресепшн с длинными распущенными волосами сначала сказала, что у них таких занятий нет. Когда мы перепроверили информацию и вернулись, другая девушка подтвердила, что такие занятия действительно есть. После уточнения та же сотрудница стала отвечать грубо: сказала, что группа полная, пробный урок «слишком дорогой» и что «вы всё равно не будете платить». Такое отношение неприемлемо для клуба международного уровня. Мы ожидаем более уважительного и профессионального обслуживания.

Positive experience: good place to exercise however, they don't have a hanging boxing bag and no punching ball Update: No doubt that this place is good but i feel pity to those new joiners who doesn't know on how to execute a proper exercise coz nobody's monitoring them beside the fact that there are a lots of trainer present on the facility. I do understand that they're just a paid personal trainer however the management should assign someone every now and then.. And to those trainer who's just roaming around they should not wait for someone to call them for assistance. They should help especially to those who's struggling to execute properly. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help—especially the personal trainers who are knowledgeable and motivating. The group classes like BodyPump, cycling, and yoga are excellent and offer great variety to keep workouts exciting. The locker rooms are clean and the overall environment is energetic and welcoming. Negative experience: Fitness first has gotten worse, it used to be the best gym, but I don’t know what’s going on with them over the last couple of years. They’re trying to save money by eliminating sanitizers, disinfectants and tissues!!! They’re doing it across all their gyms and post covid!! Their machines are broken very often, i guess it’s not at the same quality of the machines they used before, and they had been renovating their water fountain for two years! The entire gym depends on a small, old water cooler. The shower heads are extremely low pressure, the hangers don’t work. They don’t pay attention to people taking pictures in the women’s section. Also, you can complain as much as you want, I did, they won’t do anything.

Negative experience: I understand that this review may not lead to any real change, as the typical response is often a generic message asking to email a complaint — and nothing more. However, I’m writing this to caution anyone who views the gym as a space to relax, focus, or spend quality personal time. To be clear, the gym equipment is adequate — nothing more, nothing less. It meets the basic standards you’d expect from any facility, whether in a large city or a small town. My issue, however, is with the atmosphere and the behavior of some staff and members, which makes the experience highly unpleasant. 1. Excessive Noise and Unprofessional Behavior: There is a recurring group — including two trainers — who gather in the lounge area, laughing loudly for extended periods, then proceed to group workouts that involve constant shouting across the gym’s public areas. I wear soundproof earbuds at full volume and still cannot block out the noise. Today, during a cardio session, the trainer was shouting literally half a meter away from me. I politely asked him to lower his voice in the shared space, to which he replied, “I will try my best,” and then continued yelling for another 30 minutes. I understand the need for motivation and communication during workouts, but this is not a bootcamp nor an outdoor jungle. This is a shared, enclosed space where everyone deserves to feel comfortable and focused. Respect for others’ boundaries is not optional — it’s basic professionalism. 2. Lack of Responsibility and Security: In my first week, my slippers were stolen from under the bench in the locker room. I informed reception, only to be met with indifference and no follow-up whatsoever. No record taken, no concern shown. Today it’s my slippers — next time, should I be concerned about my phone or wallet? This experience has left me disappointed and frustrated. A gym should be a safe, respectful environment — not a chaotic social club where basic courtesy is ignored.

Fantastic experience: I joined Stephanie’s first pool aqua class this morning and it was an amazing class, the workout was so amazing , the music , the workout she gave us was what we expected of her , a killer , thank you for adding Stephanie to the pool aqua classes on Mondays , perfect start to a workout week .

Fantastic experience: My sister and I have been training with Trainer Chuks John Okoro for the last month. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Not only has exercising become fun for us, but we are also seeing the kind of physical progress we haven't seen before. Fitness First AD Mall is a great place to be in!

Negative experience: Poor indoor temperature setting usually decided by cleaners (10 degree C) or at best decided by incompetent trainers! No one listens Facility needs upgrade, filthy at its best, nothing really works. Still, I am typing this when I am getting ready to go there as location is convenient.

Positive experience: The gym smells and it doesn’t feel clean I like the space, the machines and the staff are lovely. However, I didn’t feel it was clean and I could smell a bad smell coming from the toilets even when I was exercising in the gym. I think they need to pay attention to the hygiene and cleanliness and maybe get more people to clean continuously

Negative experience: I hate with passionate how classes in the ladies section are always super loud for the rest of the members who aren’t participating. It’s so obnoxious and even when asking the staff to close the door they never do. Almost unbearable to be at the gym during classes and it’s very time restricting when trying to avoid class hours.

Positive experience: It’s my very first time to join a gym and I love the classes of Raquel, Jackie and Camilly. Booking a class though is a challenge mainly because many want to join but limited slots are available. Flooring needs repair in Main Studio esp. at the back area, the lockers have odd smell maybe because made of wooden material. The reception staff are nice. They always greet and say goodbye whenever I come and go. The cleaners are polite. Overall the place is OK, and I don’t feel intimidated or outcast, diversity there is excellent!

Negative experience: Worst gym experience ever. If you want to go to a gym where you are constantly interrupted by the trainer, you found the right place. I got interrupted more than one time by the same trainer mimi because exercising with my friend is apparently not allowed. I am constantly accused of hiring my friend to train me. Is it not common to have a gym buddy?? This is so unacceptable and unprofessional. They wasted my time and my friend’s time. I will not be coming back to this branch and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Their package is also non-refundable. A big waste of time and money. I suggest looking for gyms that actually care about their customer experience before committing to this gym.

Fantastic experience: This is about my fitness journey with Fitness First Gym and specifically with coach Chuks! I started working out in December 2023. I was in a bad shape with about 76kgs at 167cm. My cardio was even worse. But I am so delighted to share that I have not only hit my target weight of 65kgs but also gained the much needed muscle and mobility. And all of this wouldn’t have been possible without Chuks! He’s an amazing trainer, has amazing knowledge of nutrition and mixes up the workouts really well. He not only focuses on weight training, but also puts equal weightage to cardio, mobility and endurance. He is a thorough professional, keeps you extremely motivated and keeps finding ways to make your workouts fun! It’s my recommendation that if you’re around in Abu Dhabi and want to train, do enroll with Chuks and Fitness First at the Abu Dhabi Mall, without thinking twice. He’s the best!

Positive experience: Good: Ms Kath is an awesome trainor.Very detailed and organized. The cleaners work hard in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Accessible and a lot of available parking. Shower and locker rooms are always clean and spacious. Coffee ;) Bad: Ive been here for almost a month and Ive already experienced some "diva-ish" moments from some customers.Its not only once and not only to me but others as well. There should be a reminder to all on the length of use of some equipment.I experienced one who considered the stick as her own and kept it with her for more than an hour. Hard to book for classes. Some staff in reception can be more helpful.

Positive experience: Good gym, but they insist you take a personal trainer. First 1-2 days trainer will assist you and suggest to you what to do for the day, later if you go and ask for guidance about any particular exercise they will ask you to take personal trainer. Group classes are good & effective, but they should also share exercise charts as well for those who don't want trainers. My old gym was less costly, and the trainer was supportive and willing to assist at any point in time.

Training at FitnessFirst Abu Dhabi Mall exceeded my expectations in every way.Kathleen was extremely professional and patient and helpful Not only she correct all of my lifting form/posture but she also made sure to explain the exact mechanisms underlying everything we did at the gym. Fantastic experience: Fitness First Abu Dhabi Mall is my gym since 7 years and I absolutely love there to go train. They have an absolutely amazing Personal Trainer, the Platinum Trainer there - Gustavo Matos. He is the main reason that I am continuing to be member at Fitness First and is superb with the members and clients.
