Shimis Yoga

Positive experience: It’s a nice chill place but the parking situation is horrible and absolutely not worth it. Especially in this summer heat or on weekends when it’s packed and have to wait 25 minutes to find a parking spot.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending classes at Shimis for a while now and I have especially loved the Vinyasa classes at the Green Room, and the location is also very convenient with lots of cafes nearby. Their staff are also quite friendly and have always helped me when I accidentally left some things behind. My only suggestions are for them to restructure the placements of mats as there are spots that are so close to the wall, which would make it impossible to stretch on the side especially when their classes are fully-booked. Other than that, Shimis is a lovely studio if you find your favorite teacher and classes.

Fantastic experience: The best yoga studio in Dubai Fantastic trainers, the right vision of yoga, lovely atmosphere. I visit this studio 2 times per week during 2 years, love it more and more! Highly recommend especially morning classes

Positive experience: This place is amazing. All instructors are so good but I have a preference for Amelia and Vanessa. The fact that they accept people to enter the class even 5/10 min late is very pleasant and relief some pressure to be on time if there is traffic or no parking. The only issue I see is their horrible matcha otherwise the hot yoga studio is like my second home

Fantastic experience: I attended the viniyasa flow in the green room and it was a great class. The instructor was very well prepared and the room was lovely. The studio has an amazing facility and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely go back.

Positive experience: Beautiful place for yoga. Love the stars in the sky effect! Giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because I suggest they look into their cafe. The Shimis special was quite bland even though I asked them to fix it a couple of times and the food was pretty bland and not served nicely.

Fantastic experience: Shimis is an oasis of tranquility, where I find peace. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and guide us through a transformative practice. The serene ambiance creates a peaceful environment for deepening my yoga journey. It's a place I eagerly return to, finding both physical and mental balance. Highly recommended for those seeking a harmonious yoga experience. the double chocolate banana cake is heaven on earth :)

Fantastic experience: The instructors are lovely and the atmosphere is charming. I always look forward to booking The Box studio when I’m in Dubai. Warm yoga flow in my favorite, but they offer many types of practices in three different settings. As well they have a cafe in the lobby with fresh juices and coffee.

Fantastic experience: My second home! Love all the instructions, never leave class disappointed. Classes are customized to all levels, instructors give many options for challenging asanas. Love 8.30am classes- every day it is focused on something different ( strenght, flexibility, core) giving you opportunity to improve over time. Cafe is amazing, they bake fresh banana bread daily and the smell is devine. There is a workout clothing store upstairs with Alo yoga gear. Showers have Locitane shampoo/ shower gel. Overall pleasant experience, favorite place to start my day.

Fantastic experience: I've been a regular at Shimis for a year now. - The facilities are top notch. - The instructors all have really strong practices. - The cafe is great (bowls & smoothies esp.) - The fact that there are 7am sessions every weekday is brilliant. Classes are usually fast-paced (i.e. Vinyasa / Power Yoga often with music) and bound to give you a solid workout (and a sweat). I've been to a lot of the major studios in Dubai, and Shimis by far is the best home for those who like strong, fast-paced flows, and instructors who challenge you to grow in your practice. A few notes: For those who are very new to yoga, sessions in The Box may be a bit too fast-paced, and classes in the Greenhouse (upstairs) are usually slower. Also, if you don't like practicing in a warm setting (i.e. 34-35 degrees Celsius), I'd again recommend classes in the Greenhouse over The Box.

Positive experience: I like the studio however they increased the monthly unlimited membership prices by 50%. It was 1300 aed which was already the highest among their competitors and now they increased it to 1900. Although there might be increase in some of their costs, this definitely cannot justify 50% increase. Monthly 30 day pass is also increased to 1600 AED. The business also removed their 3 month, 6 month and 12 month memberships. I hope that they reconsider this decision as it might not be convenient to many long term loyal members in the long run and people have already started looking at other options. We love Shimis (thats why I am giving a high rating), however we would appreciate if the pricing is reconsidered so that they continue to play a role in making yoga accessible to more people.

Fantastic experience: I love the asthetic of this studio, it’s stunning but it doesn’t end there, the studio really has a heart that you can feel. The subtle touches such as cold towels after class and plant based bags available in the change room for wet yoga clothes after class are all part of the authentic care and vibe of Shimis. I took a warm flow class with Jaedena and she was fantastic! I can’t wait to go again :)

Fantastic experience: Best warm yoga studio in Dxb. All the teachers are amazing: have great energy, great flows that adjust in terms of intensity depending on the level of people attending the class, are extremely knowledgeable of the body so risk of injury is very low and are always friendly and super willing to answer questions. My favourites are Lauren and Karina - can’t recommend them enough. Their classes are high energy but they know how to make them fun so ego does not get in the way of your practice. Also note the Box (where warm yoga sessions take place) temperature is slightly lower than in a standard bikram or hot yoga class, which makes it more accessible yet still challenging. Prepare for a great sweat and lots of fun! PS. I also tried classes at Dryp and the Yoga House which were great but think this place is unrivaled. PS2. If you are more into an spiritual approach to yoga, focused on breathing and meditation (or if you are into kundalini or yvengar) this might not be the best match for you. They have some yin yoga classes but most of the classes are vinyasa and will at some point or other build some heat into the sequences.

Fantastic experience: Amazing atmosphere, Id say a boutique yoga studio. Big lounge / coffee shop area to work, read or chill. Hot yoga flow in The Box was great, unique setting, demanding and rewarding. Gotta try the green room next.

Positive experience: Yesterday's morning yoga class was great. Sincerely want to help you improve, so below are my comments. I'd suggest to adjust the music level though, so that the instructor could be heard better. The distance between mats could be more, so everybody has enough space. It was my 1st time, so i'd appreciate if somebody was at the reception to greet and guide around, but the desk was empty. Tiny unpleasant surprise waited for me inside - some chalk powder around my mat, which I showed to the staff but haven't even heard an apology.

Fantastic experience: Just visited for the coffee shop but the place itself is super cute. Upstairs the changing rooms, bathrooms are really cool and modern. In the coffee shop: great healthy options, snacks. We had the acai bowl and hazelnut coffee. (Looking great, tasting average) Pricing is ok, medium price range. The barista was very friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Lovely space to breathe and practice as well as a hipster style cafe with good stuff! Interior is TOP! 2types of rooms, warm upbeat sweaty in dark room a la Barrys or more normal vinyasa in a bright room with a green plants (dead). I thought this will be a supermodel yoga studio but its solid and for everyone :) and so damn nice id live in there -70aed on first class.
