Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Barre Effect. The location is absolutely awful—there are countless offices on the same floor, making it nearly impossible to find the studio. I parked outside and had to walk a long way, only to spend even more time trying to navigate the confusing layout of the building. Overall, the lack of clear directions, poor accessibility, and rigid policies made this a deeply frustrating experience. I definitely would not recommend it.

Negative experience: I recently visited Barre Effect for my first class, and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. I arrived just 2 minutes late due to the difficulty in locating the studio. The building is not straightforward, with over 50 apartments on the same floor and unclear directions to the elevators. Despite this, I was denied entry into the class. I understand the importance of punctuality, but as a first-time visitor, I expected a little understanding given the layout challenges. Some clearer instructions or signage to make the studio easier to find would be incredibly helpful. I was excited to try Barre Effect, but this initial experience left me feeling unwelcome. I hope the team can improve accessibility for new clients and provide more guidance to ensure a better experience for others in the future (because I am not going anymore).

Fantastic experience: I really appreciated that the instructor came over to introduce herself. She asked about any injuries I had, and offered me options, which made me feel valued. The class was run professionally, with each station equipped with enough supplies for everyone. This was a nice change from other places that operate on a first-come, first-served basis, which can sometimes lead to chaos.

Negative experience: Very bad… simply you plan your day to join a class and they just don’t let you enter because you are late (my class was at 11, it’s a Wednesday so I’m sure class is not full and they refused me on the door because I arrived 1min late). I was planning to take packages with my friends from here… A BIG NO GO and a loss of many customers

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite workouts in Dubai! Teachers are all super motivating and great energy. Music is always on point. Each day there’s a different prop so you don’t get bored. I get toned again after summer break by attending a week straight of classes. Parking is easy

Negative experience: Like many others have mentioned, I arrived just a minute late due to the lack of parking and construction everywhere. I called ahead to let them know I was walking in the heat because I had to park so far away, and they said it was fine. When I arrived, I was only one minute late, but the receptionist wouldn't let me in. Yet, five minutes later, she allowed a "regular" customer in without any issues. This was very frustrating. From what I've read in other reviews, even if you talk to the manager, they are arrogant and unhelpful, often just giving the same automated response. 0/10 would not recommend

Positive experience: loved sonia! such a nice and motivational instructor. the location is a bit confusing specially since there aren’t any clear directions to the place. also, as many agree about the time restrictions, i wasn’t late but i saw how concerned and stressed others were. as well as there was only one lady at the counter she seemed like she had to do alot also a sweet lady. overall great class, challenging, and effective. would come again

Negative experience: One of the most disappointing experiences of not experiencing anything. They didn’t let me into their class as I was 2 minutes late. I came into their center and the receptionist absolutely refused to let me in because of their policy. I tried to repeatedly understand this policy of theirs which was that the trainer wants to ask what level I am at physically. Bear in mind that takes 30sec to 1 min to answer. I had friends who have come in the same session for the first time just as I was and were not even asked or talked to about their physical capacity by the physical instructor who is Noelle . So obviously this policy is not legitimate. I came in to destress and I left more stressed. What type of athletic center refuses clients…never again.

Positive experience: Went back after a year. Class with Ivy was lovely but the mic system is so bad we can hardly hear the instructions. We had to look at someone else to figure what was next. Please check your mic system. Thank u ❤️

Negative experience: Rude rude and rude !!!! And very bad customer service they also delete comments on instagram if they don’t like it! I visited almost every studio in Dubai this is the worst experience! I showed up on time! the receptionist says the first timer has to come early! I told her am not a first timer for barre I did it many times before she said she can’t let me in! I asked her to check me in and let me in another class which most of the studios do so they can give a good experience for first time clients! she refuses!! And I end up paying cancellation fees and rushing into another great studio which welcomed me! I should’ve read the google reviews first! I’ll never comeback and I’ll tell everyone about this horrible experience! Ladies go where you’re welcomed. And please don’t reply to me with your illogical copy and paste reply of safety and so on! I went down a year back of reviews and same issue is repeated without a solution so clearly you don’t care! Keep losing potential customers! Good job!

Fantastic experience: Experienced professionals, good energy and very inclusive no matter what level you are at. Always changing and evolving so you never get bored. Every single instructor has its own niche. I would love more classes post 6 pm at least twice a week although I imagine this might be tough.

Negative experience: Horrible and rude !!!! I showed up 1 minute late, literally 1 min aaaaand I called as i was in the hallway trying to find the studio and informing them that I am there, walking towards them. I arrive to class 30 secs after hanging up the phone, the door was still open, the receptionist closes it in my face and tells me I cant enter….I then ask her to at least check me in on the system so i don’t pay a cancellation fee, which all gyms usually do, she refuses!! They are taking their barre workout way too seriously lol, save your money ladies and go where you’re welcomed. Corporate offices are more lenient than this

Fantastic experience: Instructors are so profesional and well prepared, playlists are always on point, great mix of props so classes are never the same. Regarding instructors Noelle is simply the best, her energy is contagious, her music choice always gets us moving and her passion is evident.

Then I was not given the chance to reschedule my class and when speaking to the Manager she was arrogant and didn’t hear me out, worse client service ever. Don’t waste your time and money , there are plenty of great fitness clubs in dubai that are worth it and full of friendly staff

Fantastic experience: Hands down the BEST Barre studio in Dubai (if not the world - tried and tested). The instructors are full of knowledge and energy. They all create a safe and fun environment and although the burn is a serious challenge, you never regret a workout - in fact - you end up wanting more! The ladies at reception are always full of smiles and brighten your mood. Ivy, the manager, has been nothing but courteous and accommodating. The space itself is beautiful too! Clean studio with brand new equipment and they have it ALL! It’s so welcoming and I’m happy to belong to this community of strong women!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to BE since it opened & honestly I love it! The vibe between everyone (instructors & clients) is beautiful! It really is a studio full of women supporting & empowering women. Each instructor is unique in the way they teach, encourage & in their music tastes! Yes you will feel the burn, but what's the point if you don't! As each week passes, you get stronger and go that extra bit further!! I recommend this studio to everyone all the time ...!

Fantastic experience: I love this place! I’ve been coming to Barre Effect since March 2021 and it’s one of my favourite places to workout as well as my favourite way to stay in shape! Every instructor is amazing and unique in her own way and no class is ever the same. I’ve seen such incredible results with my body and strength levels and I can’t recommend them enough. Book your first class you won’t regret it!

This would tell me that this is a well managed professional business which has the health and wellbeing of their clients at the forefront. I'm never late so for me this is a first class facility, well thought out with every attention to detail. The studio is spacious, bright and airy, the changing room are meticulously clean with no expense spared amenities. I usually take Ivy's class who leads a team of highly trained, experienced, dedicated instructors who ensure at every level the optimum workout. You have set the 'Barre' very high !

The cleanliness of the studio, friendliness of the staff and excellent amenities (great showers and change areas) are just add-ons to the excellent classes they have. Fantastic experience: If you want a tough proper workout pushing you to your limits and getting every second’s worth then this is the place… at first I could barely keep up… slowly building up the strength and definitely still feeling the burn! They are very strict with timing and if you forgot your water or socks it will cost you quiet a bit to buy there. Fantastic experience: Literally, this is the best barre studio in all of the UAE. Not just in Dubai! Noelle is the best instructor there. All of the instructors there know what they're doing, and know how to put on a class and whip you into shape.

Negative experience: Not a good experience. My friend (who is a regular) and I arrived to the studio 2mins late and we were told we could not enter the class as a policy. I would understand if there was a full class, but there was only 1 person in the class with the teacher. We explained nicely that we had driven from Marina in peak traffic and my friend was fasting to get to this class, but they still would not let us enter. Usually if a studio has such a strict policy they would call the person or whatsapp them ahead of the class or if they noticed they were not there 5mins before as a friendly checkup or reminder (especially since there were only 3 of us in this class). The manage was not helpful at all and not try to help resolve the situation (actually made it worse). I would not recommend this place as the systems are not logical and we are humans, not robots. Even if we booked on ClassPass I would expect more from a place like this.

Negative experience: Hands down the worse customer service I have experienced in any studio in Dubai. Arrived a few minutes late and was denied entry. They cited safety reasons. I assured them that I have done plenty of Barre classes before AND got no injuries. Their general manager Ivy needs a training on client satisfaction, interpersonal skills and customer service. I requested her to move me into another class since this one was paid for and I was denied entry. And she outright refused! Unwilling to listen, cooperate or extend any kind of grievance handling. Terrible terrible place! I can see plenty of bad reviews on here and I understand why!

Negative experience: Few minutes late and also struggling to locate them and not allowed. No sign in the building they are in. I can see it happens to the others obviously didn’t bother them to take time and waste money of the others to take note of what happened. By the they are on top of pick and park for anyone else trying to locate them.

Negative experience: Was 2 minutes late trying to find the building, was denied entry into the class as «  a first time client » and wasted 25 minutes asking for a refund and trying to reach the manager. The manager was not helpful at all. Could’ve just let me join the class which I was clearly hearing was just starting at 11:02 rather than debate policies and refunds. What a horrible first impression for a first time client.

Negative experience: The worst customer service experience in Dubai. I was 4minutes late from the class that I already paid for and they didn't let me attend it. Ivy the manager wasn't available to call for 45 minutes even though it was her working day and she was supposed to hold the next class. When finally the receptionist managed to reach her she was very condescending and rude. She offered no solution to the problem ( she could have just offered me to attend the next class that was held by her) instead she spent 5 minutes arguing that emails were sent out informing clients about the strict no lateness policy, when I booked the class through an app. I feel in 2022 classes booked through apps should inform them through notification. I also feel denying entrance after 4 minutes late is very extreme, but the biggest let down was how the manager handled the situation. Even the lovely receptionist is better at liaising with clients than her. No refund or rescheduling was offered.

Negative experience: I was excited to get to experience barre effect however, I had a class at 4:00 and was 2 min late to the class due to me trying to find the studio since they don’t have any signs to direct you to the studio I called to ask where it is at 4:01 she informed me that I wasn’t allowed to enter the class, personally I find this very unprofessional I literally was 1 minute and I have already paid for the class prior it just doesn’t make sense and this policy can’t be 100% met by everyone who is a first timer we don’t know where the studio is, this is just a scam to take money and I’m truly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Don’t be deceived by the warm and friendly instructors; they will make you feel the burn again and again as you pulse your way through the session, using different props designed to target all areas of the body. Combined with amazing urban botanical decor, and excellent cleanliness, this sophisticated studio is the place to sculpt yourself!

Positive experience: Nice interior, clean studio and good service. But, Barre is all about: SAFETY, KNOWLEDGE, MODIFICATION and only after the challenge. About the class: No rest between the sets, to many repetitions of exercises on one side, poorly provided activities modifications and posture alignment corrections. Results: The tremendous stress on the front of the knee, lower back, shoulder and wrist joints. The consequences over time are often patellar tendonitis and chronic knee, wrist and shoulder pain or aggravate existing wrist irritation, lower back stress from hyperextension can weaken your spine, which can do damage to the discs in between your vertebrae. Negative experience: They are thieves !! I have attended few classes , great instructor i must say ! but one night i got badly sick with fever , and i was supposed to attend a class the day after at 10.15 am . i called them as soon as they opened at 8am to postpone my 10.15 am class to another day. they noticed i was sick on the phone and asked me to write an email. they finally answered that due to “ late cancellation” and without a positive covid test or doctor note , they will charge my class (115 aed ) . Seriously ?! so if my covid is negative and i didnt go to the doctor overnight they charge . How stupid and what a bad customer experience ! i was so shocked and disappointed, really didn’t encourage me to consider them one more time ! i will never go again !

Negative experience: Avoid. The management of this studio is terrible. It was my first time attending a barre class here, there are no signs anywhere explaining where the studio is and where to go through. The explanations on their website are not sufficient at all. I arrived to the class 4 minutes late because I was looking for the studio. They refused to let me in because I was new to their class due to “safety regulations”. But they allowed someone else more then 10 minutes late to go in because she was a regular. There are plenty of other barre studios in Dubai where the management and the classes are awesome for everybody, regulars and newcomers like FitnGlam or Oomo which is literally a walk down from Barre effect and you cannot miss their studio ;) I suggest your revise your rules and regulations so they are fair to everybody Barre Effect and maybe make a stronger effort on the explanations of your studio.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful studio with all of Dubai’s best barre instructors. Lovely clean facilities, ample changing space and free covered parking. The studio itself really benefits from natural light (rare in Dubai studios!) A very challenging class yet one that can be easily modified for all levels of fitness. I really enjoyed barre effect as a staple part of my post partum exercise regime and the instructors were very good at modifying workouts to accommodate the fact I recently had a c section. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: This studio is an absolute scam. I have prepaid for my class and due difficulty find the parking location I was literally 2 minutes late. The instruction/owner refused to let us enter the class claiming they have a disclaimer when we booked the class. I drove all the way from Sharjah to be turned back from a class I paid for in advance because of 2 minutes delay. BEWARE, do not book this class or pay in advance, they use any excuse to not let you take the class nor get your money back.
